The theme behind “Hiatus” is about the interruption and silence of life around one who is in a reflective state.
My colour choice of brown and black is to create a natural and raw mood which is similar to the emotions that being in deep reflection bring.
The red outlines are to draw attention to her facial expression which is a thoughtful gaze. Her expression tells a story of how one can find themselves reflecting on the pause or interruption of life as we know it due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
