My illustration is a show of the plight of artists and customers. It is seen that the population at large have become prisoners in their own homes due to COVID-19. Artists have been forced to stay in their homes with no idea or help on how they can generate income for their families.
How will artists feed their families? How will their creative juices flow in confinement? Artists in Zimbabwe rely on one on one interaction with their customers. This disease has imprisoned us in our own homes we no longer have the freedom to sell our art to produce art outside to see the vibrancy of our nations.
According to a scientific study, art is said to help and appease the mental health of the young and old. Now that the art is now locked away in the homes of artists with no one to appreciate it we can already see that many will experience mental issues. Art no only brings joy to people it is someones’ escape from the difficulties in life.COVID-19 has created a divide between artists and customers.
