The piece was inspired by my love of the world of superheroes. Our front liners are our superheroes today, each with their own special ability, wearing their full costume, equipment in hand and masked up to fight against the villain corona Virus. It came out of nowhere and took so much from us, it took away the simple things, like hugs and being outdoors but worst of all it has taken away the lives of our precious loved ones.
It feels like an impossible challenge and it has made us feel useless against this invisible enemy. Fortunately, there are people out there who have stood up for us, they are working tirelessly to make us feel safe and informed in these trying times just like superheroes. We must cheer them on and show them gratitude to give them the strength to keep fighting. It’s long a battle we are facing up ahead and it might feel like all hope is lost but remember, no matter what, the superheroes always win in the end.
